Fruit In The Season

The end of winter,

I am barely alive,

just a tiny little bud,

still a sprout for new life

I’ve been sleeping for so long

and something deep inside is aching

a sense of longing and wonder

a part of me has been awakened

The first ray of sun

shining through the naked branches

melts the ice on my face

tickles all my senses

Still I’m nothing without you

I depend on your touch

without your power and devotion

I’d be nothing but dust

Give me shelter

Keep me warm

Give me freedom

Make me strong

Show me mercy

Through my doubts

When I struggle

And I’m down

With your love every breath has a reason

With your love I’ll bear fruit in the season

your love will bear fruit in the season

I’m swaying in the wind

I stretch for the light

eager to bring forth

but not ready to cut the ties

The colours are changing

try to keep my self from getting stained

Alway the unsure

if everything will be in vain

Give me shelter

Keep me warm

Give me freedom

Make me strong

Show me mercy

When I doubt

When I struggle

And I’m out

With your love every breath has a reason

With your love I’ll bear fruit in the season

With your love I’ll bear fruit in the season

got to take that leap

put down my roots

I’m hanging by a thread

bound to hit the truth

Am I truly loved

or is it all a lie

Am I really special

Am I the Apple of your eye

Give me shelter

Keep me warm

Give me freedom

Make me strong

Show me mercy

Through I doubt

When I struggle

And I’m down

With your love every breath has a reason

With your love I’ll bear fruit in the season

With your love I’ll bear fruit in the season

Love will bear fruit in the season

Love will bear fruit in the season
