Silence is a rare commodity

One of the best books I ever read about music is How Music Works, by David Byrne – the founder of Talking Heads

This book is full of visdom and great insight, and the quote below really resonates with me so deeply, that I have to share it with you:

”Technology has flooded the world with music. We used to have to pay for music or make it our selves. Playing, hearing and experiencing it was exceptional , a rare special experience. Now hearing it is ubiquitous and silence is the rarity we pay for and savior”  – David Byrne

I elaborate further o this topic in my blog post – Make Room For Music And Art – found here.
